Those who teach courses that include environmental issues in Appalachia have a new, free resource for their classes, a 29-minute documentary on the impacts of the Trump Administration’s rollbacks of environmental regulations. Rollbacks: An Assault Against Life on Earth examines some of the almost 100 regulations that have been weakened or rescinded since the 2016 election and ties the effects of those rollbacks to increases in asthma and other diseases as well as such climate change disasters as raging wildfires, droughts and devastating floods.

This is as sobering as it is effective. Congratulations on a brilliant documentary. I sure hope this gets wide distribution. The “What Can I Do?” page that you are preparing for your website would seem to me to be the point of the entire enterprise. All of us can view with alarm, and sink back into a comfortable fatalism while our grandchildren are left to pay the piper, but if there are concrete steps, real world actions that each of us can take, then you’d have pushed the discussion into slowing that damned tipping point-planet down the hill.

Thank you so much for Rollbacks. It shows in powerful ways how we have taken giant steps backward in the past three years. Seeing it told, documented and well-explained in 29 minutes is overwhelming and very effective. It should be shown at all the State and National Democratic Conventions between now and November 2020. Have you considered sending it to the Democratic Candidates Headquarters? Congratulations on another film which gets all viewers to go a little deeper. Thank you!

Rollbacks is the best in bad news!  OMG…so much work for you and your team but so much in FOCUS.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Yours is a beautifully crafted documentary of such power that it should inspire anyone who sees it to do whatever it takes to keep that ball from rolling any closer to the top of the hill.  Your film puts the average citizen in a quandary because we (read “I”) don’t know what to do; it seems a crisis with no political solution.  Maybe State by State and industry taking a realistic look at the future?? I will go now to your website to see what your ‘take Action’ page suggests.
